This guy’s been doing a whole series on a similar project;  I haven’t seen all of them but I heard that at some point they drive it and the torque of the motor twists the frame  Needed reinforcements afterwards.

My first thought was how much better it could be made by changing out the old lead acid batteries for newer battery tech.

100% more range, more amps, less weight.

A Prius battery pack weights 80-100lbs from what I’ve read. There’s at least 200lbs of bettary  under that hood.

The good news with mine is they probably had to tear all the Lucas bits out. Probably all that’s left from the Prince of Darkness is the wiring for the lights.
